The Twilight Zone: Life on Mars?

Finally. NASA has done something right. But for some reason when I heard that the orbiter Phoenix landed on Mars, I got chills down my spine. Technology is a wondrous thing but as an African-American woman, I can vividly see two scenarios...

1) We fuck up the Earth so bad that we will need to "relocate". Those with money will get to bounce to Mars and we will be left here to die.
or 2) As a method of population control in an attempt to save the Earth the "undesirables" will get a one-way ticket out of this world with the promise of land and riches untold. And you know how this movie ends.

However, when I am not thinking my conspiracy theorists thoughts, I think it is kinda cool that we are able to land an orbiter on Mars. if we can do that, then surely we can solve some more pressing issues on this planet!

MTV revealed the hottest MC's of the last year. My issue is not with Mr. Cameo King being relegated to the number three spot( and u better not try to say he is better than Kanye AND Hov this year).

My issue is with 3 stacks being number 9. Any of the verses he kicked in the list year MURDER most of the MC's on the list's albums! 14 years in the game and still hot! Give it up for my future baby daddy...

Memo To the Unemployed & Unmotivated

I have a job and I enjoy reading so of course I miss a lot of bloggable TV moments. But there is an abundance of those of you out there who don't do nothing all day except "dress and rest". So if you ain't got shit to do, the least you could do for the rest of us is make sure you get all the latest stuff on youtube-EARLY! And make sure it is clear. There's nothing worse then blurry as clips.

Mary might could go to jail

Remy take note. If you are gonna turn to a life of crime, at least have the catalog to do the bid. Since you are gonna have much time on your hands for the next few years, having a robust discography would have helped you out. For example, if you had a career like Mary's, you would be able to obtain an ipod and listen to your joints for days straight! If you hits like Mary, you wouldn't have to perform one weak song at the Talent Show, you could perform the Christmas Concert by yourself. Shit, you would have everyone's families scrambling to get in the prison to see you performing. If you got stuck in the hole instead of doing sit ups and reciting your times tables, you could strictly recite the lyrics to all of your songs and remix in order of the album. That would keep you from going insane. If you was on it like Mary, after serving like 4-5 of that 8 year sentence, you could go on the Fresh Outta Jail tour and sell out arenas.

But no, you wanna go and commit a "career"ending crime with like 2 songs out ...that ain't enough material for a good playlist...

I'm all for some color in my life and all that but I must draw the line somewhere. These ipod shuffle in lime green are a bit much- especially when you try to match your lil shuffle to your outfit. That is using your ipod irresponsibly. I won't stand for it. If you trynna do the matchy match, at least graduate to a nano. Something you can at least control the songs on.
